Lumi Moods

Can you get an Oura-style score without a ring?

Partly. An Apple Watch records sleep, heart rate and HRV to Apple Health, and apps can turn that into a daily score. A ring is a different device, and it has real advantages.

Lumi Moods is not released yet. It is coming soon to the App Store, so nothing on this page can be tried today.

Where a ring has the edge

A ring is easy to wear to bed and does not need charging every day or two. If you will not sleep in a watch, an app reading your watch will have little sleep data to work with.

Where a watch and an app can work

If you already wear an Apple Watch overnight, you may not need another device. Lumi Moods is being built to read Apple Health and show your energy from 0 to 100%. It is a separate product, not connected with Oura, and its score is not the same as Oura's.

Oura is a trademark of its owner. Lumi Moods is not affiliated with it. Checked November 4, 2026.

Common questions

Do I need an Oura ring for a daily readiness score?

No. Apps can work out a daily score from Apple Watch data in Apple Health, though it will not be the same measurement.

Does Lumi Moods work with Oura?

Lumi Moods reads Apple Health. It would only see Oura data that Oura saves there, and we have not tested this.

What it costs

Lumi Moods will include a 7-day free trial of everything, then cost a planned $3.99 a month or $29 a year. Today's energy meter, your choice of companion, breathing, today's live values, the last 7 days, medication reminders and safety features stay free.

Coming soon to the App Store
